Boise State coach Petersen agrees to five-year contract

01/01/2010 - Scottsdale, AZ (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Boise State head football coach Chris Petersen has agreed to a five-year contract through the 2014 season.

The school made the announcement at the Fiesta Bowl media day.

Financial terms of the deal were not announced and it still has to be approved by the state board of education.

Over his four seasons at Boise State, Petersen has guided the team to a record of 48-4 with a 13-0 mark this season.

He will guide the sixth-ranked Broncos in their second Fiesta Bowl on Monday against No. 3 TCU.
